Silverchat — the social network from Snowmoon

Silverchat is a social media website. That is how Snowmoon, a novel by Vitalik Buterin, puts it. Evelor built Silverchat as an open refuge for creative expression — “a refuge from the blandness that’s taking over so much of the rest of Veridia.” What it does

A public feed. Every update to the set of readable messages ships with a proof. A client that cannot verify it refuses to show it.

Polls you pay for. Burn Zipcoin to ask a question across a large cross-section of the network — the more you burn, the more people it polls. Votes are anonymous, so there is no way to tell who sent each one.

Twenty days’ notice. Changing the feed algorithm means publishing a hash and waiting, in public, before it takes effect.

One permanent key. Sign in once, get exactly one wallet, and it cannot be moved afterwards.
